To all the haters: f*ck you, the Ravens rock! Heading into today’s matchup with the Super Bowl 45 runner-up Steelers, most thought the maligned Ravens would be defeated. Sports bettors also cringed at the -1/+1 Steelers/Ravens respectively line on the game: Mr. Peebles has seen bigger spreads in Playboy magazine!

Despite coming in as the clear underdog the Ravens crushed the Steelers 35-7 in a romp that left the likes of Ben Roethlisberger wondering whether he should quit the NFL and start serving coffee at Starbucks on the corner. Right about now, that looks like a good plan after today’s surprising loss which left the Steelers reeling.

Mr. Peebles maintains that the Ravens are the most underrated football team in the NFL, and today, he was proven right! On to Week 2 action!

Well he’ll admit it, his call for a big Saints upset victory did not turnout as expected. Mr. Peebles humbly apologizes for this mistake. In his defense, Drew “The Breeze” Brees nearly pulled it off with 0 seconds left in the game: a foul in the endzone allowed him another shot at making a touchdown that would have capped off an amazing drive, especially after a botched onside kick. Well, it’s only September 10. We have – count ‘em – 17 weeks of football still, with the bulk of Week 1 action kicking off tomorrow at 1:00 PM EST.

By the way, Mr. Peebles’ beloved Ravens will be playing the Ravens tomorrow at 1:00 EST. The spread is 1 point ?!? That’s a bit sharp for Mr. Peebles’ tastes, but then again, the Ravens ARE his favorite team, and getting a 1 point spread assigned by the sportsbooks is actually compliment seeing as they are taking on last season’s Super Bowl 45 runner-up.

So that’s the big 1000000* play for tomrrow: take the Ravens for a blow-out win. They’ll do it, or Mr. Peebles will NOT drink for 1 week.
